About Me
The Real Me
I was born in Germany, raised in Central Missouri, and now I get to call Southern Illinois home. I am a proud retired Army brat and a grateful USAF veteran’s wife. I am a blessed momma to three little girls and seven fur kids, five dogs and two cats. I adore warm summer days, comfy black leggings, flip flops, a cup of coffee, and a good book. Nothing beats an ice cold glass of sweet tea. Early mornings are not my best friend. Dove chocolate is my weakness. I cry easily at movies, especially those with animals. When something is funny, I tend to laugh a little too loudly. I love to cook and I have more creative ideas floating around in my head than I could complete in two lifetimes. I am Rose Lee and I am a photographer.
Randomness
I tend wear my heart on my sleeve. I try to see the good in everyone I come across. I am very much a people person and I am a hugger. I tend to drive five under the speed limit. I love to read. I like taking selfies on my self phone, I must document that good makeup day I am having! I am a Disney and Sci-Fy nerd. I play the violin and want to learn how to play the cello. Five is my favorite number. Chipolte is my favorite place to eat with Olive Garden being a very close second. I am a child of God. My favorite color is Grey. Bare feet and flip flops are the way to go. I have a very bubbly personality. When I am excited, I tend to get very loud. I usually listen to Christian and Dance / Techno music. What is Love by Haddaway is my jam as well as Blinding Lights by The Weekend. My not-so-secret dream is to attend a Rave one day; it’s on my bucket list. I am deathly afraid of werewolves and snakes. Christmas is my holiday and summer is my season. I love roses, they are my favorite flower followed by baby’s breath. I don’t get the ‘basic white girl’ hype or the craze when it comes to a PSL. I can be classified as an introverted extrovert or so I have been told. When watching a movie or Tv show, I usually fall for the underdog character. For example, I love Goose in Top Gun and Sam Winchester in Supernatural. I love to wind down after a long day in my soaker tub watching Criminal Minds. I love going camping with my family! The 90’s scent cucumber melon, is still to this day, one of my favorite scents!
the style
My style is modern mixed with vintage and real life. You should choose me as your photographer, because I will make your experience personal, laid back, awesome, and all around fun! Plus, you will get some amazing photographs out of it. I won’t edit any photo I took from your session unless I can see myself printing it out and hanging it on my wall, as it were my own. I absolutely love my clients and I strive to make them happy with their photos and for them to have the best experience possible. I definitely love taking pictures for people and I hope to do it for the rest of my life. I can’t really imagine doing anything else! I love capturing the moments that you wish the keep forever and maybe even one day show your children, and your children’s children, and possibly even your children’s children’s’ children!

thank you
To my father, who was the one with the camera and the eye for something beautiful, typically a model in a bathing suit. To my mother for allowing me to live through high school and believing that I could do anything I wanted, if I put my mind to it. To my husband for supporting me in my dreams and allowing me to be a workaholic when it comes to photography and never questioning me. To my daughter’s, all three of them, for inspiring me day after day, keeping me young, and making me smile. I also want to thank my amazing clients for sharing your families with me and giving me the opportunity to do what I love every day.
